Tereze Strautmane is a Latvian visual artist, curator, and educator. She works across illustration, painting, ceramics, and experiential installation.

Born in Riga, Latvia, she maintains an international practice spanning Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North America. She holds an MFA in Illustration from the University of Hartford and a BFA in Visual and Plastic Arts from the Art Academy of Latvia.

Her work explores symbolism, human consciousness, and the relationship between body, space, and environment. She has exhibited since 1999 across Mexico, Latvia, the United States, Russia, Sweden, France, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia — including the Illustrators Wall at the Bologna Children's Book Fair (2021), the CPSA Annual International Exhibition (2016), and solo shows such as World of Dreams (Riga and Xalapa, 2001) and Ibara (Cherado Gallery, Riga, 2006).

Tereze brings nearly a decade of university teaching as a Lecturer in the Visual Communication Department at Dar Al-Hekma University in Jeddah (2008–2017). From 2021 to 2025 she was a core team member of Nuanu Creative City in Bali, serving as Art Director and art movement leader — developing the Art Village and Aurora Media Park, directing and producing the Suara Festival (2022–2024), and organizing artist residencies and open calls. She continues to work independently across Bali and beyond as an artist, designer, and educator, taking on interior and environmental design and decoration projects.
